About Moore Fine Art

After a career as a design and creative director, I immersed myself with the wonderful fluidity of impressionistic watercolor painting. Most of the subjects are of places visited while traveling with my wife in Europe and the U.S. The energy and bustle of a street in Paris, London, Rome , New York, Chicago and Los Angeles exude much excitement, spontaneity and inspiration. Sometimes I try to balance that energy with subjects of nature and peaceful simplicity, whether it be a high desert vista in Joshua Tree or a placid frozen stream in Michigan. Watercolor for me just seems like the perfect medium for these expressions. Hopefully, you will enjoy my paintings which are a reflection of mood, atmosphere and places captured in time.

I studied Architecture initially at Purdue University and graduated from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois, where I majored in graphic design and received the Student Of The Year award in my last year of study. While at the Academy, I studied under the guidance of master watercolorist, Irving Shapiro, AWS, and his priciples of art and watercolor painting still provide me with inspiration and direction.
